False Lash review.

I love wearing false lashes & I use them all the time, expensive ones, inexpensive one and for me theres really no difference as long as you have a secure glue ( I use DUO) . In body care I picked up these £0.99p lashes which were a steal.

I dont understand why people pay rediculous prices for lashes, i mean they all do the same job right & who is really going to notice a 99p pair of lashes as aposed to a £10.99p pair. not me thats for sure!

Before:

As you can see my lashes are some what sparse short and just all over the place.

After:

Now they dont look exactly on my lash line becauase they arn't I mearly put the lashes on for the sake of this phorograph so usually I would put eyeliner on to make them blend in. But as the lashes go I think they look longer and fuller.

Haul

Popped into boots the other day just to have a mooch around all the cosmetics and cheer my little self up & to be fair there wasn't a lot that caught my eye but then I came across the rimmel london stand. After watching the ad on TV for the rimmel london wake me up foundation i thought eyyy, i'll give that a pop as my healthy mix foundation was running a little dry. with the foundation being £8.99 and there being a 3 for 2 offer i thought i'd pikc up two cheap-er cosmetics just because i'm a sucker for those offers so additionally I picked up a lasting finish lip liner in O11 Spice and a nail varnish and apracott punch.

First impresions this foundation is one of rimmels best but if you would like i'd do a full indepth review with photographs of it on my skin.
Nail varnish in appricot punch, a very spring time colour i'm so excited to try!

It was hard to focus becuase i've had to take all images on my phone, One the prowl for a new HD camera!

&just a little heads up i've been thinking of doing a giveaway soon but i'm unsure on what you guys would like to win so any suggestions or emails would be appreciated :) xx

Nail of the week.

I've been going for a simple black nail this week just because it's simple it goes with everything and tbh I was just feeling pretty damb boring!

This is one of the limited edition 17 nail varnishes in the the high shine collection I got around christmas and as you can see from the flash on my camera it is very glossy and shiny which I love!
I'm sure everybody has a balck in their collection its just essential in my opinion.

Review: Avon shine attract

I placed this order around 3 weeks ago and have been looking forward to it for AGES! I adore avon lip products and havnt come across one that I dont love yet. Untill now unfortunatly..

Now I had seen this product advertised in a few previous brochures and loved the concept although its priced at around £9.00 I was a little scepticle to purchase it before doing some research but when I got the the current brochure I saw that when you bought the shine attract lipstick priced at £5.00 may I add you got to choose a free lip liner. bargain!

If you are unfamiliar with this concept it's basically a lipstick surrounded by a gel gloss formula to give you the colour of a lipstick with a slight bit of shine. basically a 2-in-1 product. This is the lipstick which I ordered in the shade 'guava' I belive I was so excited when my little package came because of my high expectations for this product but it didn't live up to my standards.
It isnt that pigmented due to too much gloss around the lipstick making it hard to get any colour on the lips. Not to mention the gloss is wayyyyy to glittery.

The good:
Nice sleek packaging, easy to twist and a secure lip
A good concept and clever idea, just needs a little more work put into it.
Taste's nice

The bad:
not true to colour and lacks pigmentation due to too much gloss.
just full of massive chunks of glitter and too disco ball for my preference.
a little too sticky.

Now moving on to the FREE lip liner which in my opinion turned out to be the best thing I got.
Its so true to colour, very creamy and a twist up aplication to you dont have to faff around with sharoeners. Im not sure how much this is on its own to buy I would imagine around the £6.00 price tag.

The good:
True to colour, so pigmentened and easy to apply
Good application and packaging making it easy to use on the go and to travel with.
Creamy and smooth on the lips giving moisture and not settleing into fine lines and cracks.

The bad:
It did snap on me on my first use although i feel that may of been me heavy handed, no worry tho i managed to fix it perfectly.

Swatches: Above the lip liner in pink bouquet. Below the very dificult to swatch glitterny clear lip stick.

Hope it helped xox.

Spring trends

With spring peeking arouond the corner and the weather getting better I thought why not do some research and find out the trends for this upcoming season and give you guys a heads up too.
So i popped on the interenet and found myself on ELLE fashion magazine website with this post
This is the post which you can find on the website  Here.

So I obviously went on to the topshop website to see which styles they had chosen to recreate and I foudn this skirt which to me screams the " digital image" trend to me with the scenery and detailed skyline.
Next I hit up River island to what they had in store and I found the'se cute muted sky blue pants with baby pink flamingo's on which was clearly inspired by the bird theme.

Then lastly River island had this abstract crop top on their website which I feel pulls of two of the above trends being midsection and abstract art in a way although I have seen this print in all three shops & persionally think its a clone of the versace at H&M clothing line.
So what do you guys think?

How to style: choker necklaces

Choker necklaces have been in style for some time and dont seem to be going away anytime soon, as well as peter pan collars. I personally love the style although it may not be for everybody so heres a few ways to do it.

This is the boldest 'stand out' way to do with the chunky metal chains and black fabrick intertwined it is very much a statement piece that will add to any outfit although if you're not brave enough to pull this off..

This is a more simple understated choker with just two slim silver chains above eachother, it' a lot more sophisticated and delicate as aposed to the 'in your face' one above, and looks more expensive in my opinion. I love both of these necklaces there really beautiful when styled correctly it just depends on how brave you are but for those in doubt. You can style a choker.

New Love

I got this tweed jacket for christmas of my Auntie and just fell in love, You may recognise it from my what I got for christmas tagpost but I found it hard to style as its so detailed and bold itself i didnt want to over do the jacket. So in the sales I found a simple plain white button down sheer shirt and though they went well together, as the elegance and simplicity of the shirt stood out against the dark tones in the blazer..

I wore it with simple black leggings and some black chelsea boots but I LOVE this jacket!

How to: newspaper nails.

I'm sure you've all seen how to do newspaper nails before it's all over beauty blogs and youtube but for those who dont here's my way that I do it.

Firstly you will need:

Newspaper, nude nail varnish, clear top coat and some cheap perfume ( or one you dont wear often)
- You could additionally have some nail varnish remover to neaten up once this is finished.

  • Take your nude colour and just paint all your nails and leave untill they are completley dry.
  • place the newspaper over the nail and squirt perfume onto the paper so the nail is completley covered.

So far it should look a little like this.

  • Next leave that on for around 30 seconds to 1 minute and gently remove from the nail.
  • once done you should be left with a nail that has a newspaper print on it.

It should look a little like this although as you can see mines a little untidy so here you should remove any of the newspaper or varnish that has leaked over the nail and then finally set with a clear top coat, Finished!

pale skin powders

With me being quite pale recently as I havn't been away abroad since summer 2010 I havn't exactly caught the rays with the english dull weather leaving me a little pale. I picked up a collectio 2000 powder in the shade 1 fair thinking it would be light enough for me giving the name and number you would assume it was pale. WRONG, it was farrrrr too orange toned
 left fair, right ivory.
Now today I picked another powder from collection 2000 in the shade ivory and just look at the difference in shades, its so much paler and easier to work with on my skin. Although i've hit pan on the fair powder i've mainly been using it just on my cheeks to give a little glow not to powder my face at all
